BBC Sport reports that Hartlepool’s stalwart defender Neil Austin has signed a new deal. The terms of the contract has not been disclosed publicly.
The thirty one year old, who has been ever-present in Hartlepool’s defence over the last five years has notched up one hundred and ninety eight appearances for the club.
Unfortunately Austin was restricted to just thirty five appearances last season, after a toe injury in February ended his season prematurely.
Speaking about his new contract “I’m delighted to sign a new contract; it’s nice to get pen to paper,” Austin told the club website. “I’m already looking forward to coming back.”
