Exciting times have well and truly returned to Aston Villa over the past few weeks, with four consecutive wins firing them back into the top-six.

It is no coincidence that convincing wins against Derby County, Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough all arrived after the return of Jack Grealish.

The midfielder has completely lifted the mood at Villa Park to one of immense optimism, seemingly bringing the best out of all his teammates too.

He is a true shining light of the the club’s youth system and looks set to play at the very top in the next few years.

Grealish is not the only youth product to have impressed this season with left-winger Andre Green putting in a host of impressive displays since returning from a loan spell with Portsmouth in January.

Following a last gasp equaliser against Sheffield United back in February, Green is quickly cementing his place in the first team, yet his contract is still set to expire in the summer.

So, how will the 20-year-old be feeling with this latest innaction?

Confusion must be the overwhelming emotion for Green at the moment.

He has come into the squad and put in some brilliant displays down the left, already surpassing the likes of Albert Adomah and all but eliminating the memory of Yannick Bolasie.

What more does he have to do?

Perhaps discussions are ongoing, but if not, Green will be starting to voice his opinion in the next few weeks I am sure.
