Marcus Browne has agreed to join League One outfit Oxford United on loan from West Ham – the U’s’ official website has confirmed.
The young attack minded star can play in behind a main striker or as a frontman himself and is very highly rated among those at the Hammers’ academy.
The men from East London have been aggressive in their summer recruitment this year, though, with a number of good players arriving in order to improve the senior side.
And, with that said, the likes of Browne probably had it made clear to them that first-team football would not be on offer in 2018/19.
With that in mind, then, he’s moved to the Kassam Stadium for this season and manager Karl Robinson will be looking to bring him on ability and potential wise as the Yellows aim for a play-off challenge.
Browne is a good young player with a bright future in the game if he gets decisions at this point in his career right.
That is obviously easier said than done but in joining Oxford he is at an ambitious club with a manager who is well-versed in improving young players.
There’s every chance Browne will enjoy a fine campaign for the U’s this season.
