Quoted by the Yorkshire Post, Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts has revealed he's eyeing next season's potential stint in the Premier League as one to use to impress Wales boss Ryan Giggs.

Things would have been gearing up to EURO 2020 at this moment in time had normality remained intact but, of course, the tournament, like so many others, has been postponed and the hope is now that it will take place next summer.

Roberts, then, was aiming to go with the Wales squad as they qualified once more but will instead have to try and use next season to keep himself in the frame.

That, of course, could see him playing a campaign in the Premier League and, with that in mind, he's looking forward to getting the opportunity to show what he can do.

He said:

“You have got to look at the positives, it could work in my favour where I have a whole season to show them what I am about."

The Verdict

Roberts has had a few fitness issues during his time at Leeds but few fans doubt the talent that he has and if he can string some games together he could become a real star.

He'll be looking to play a key part in Leeds' promotion challenge - providing things resume - and then he'll be looking forward to playing in the Premier League next season.
