Aston Villa host Reading this weekend at Villa Park as the Sky Bet Championship action keeps on coming.

Both of these sides were in action earlier this week as Villa left it late to draw 2-2 with Brentford whilst the Royals ended up with the same result at Blackburn after going 2-0 up.

Both, then, will be looking for a win and in our stat pack we're taking a closer look at some of the most important factors ahead of the clash...

Line-ups wise, things should remain fairly consistent in terms of the teams that played from the week.

Both do have to sweat on certain players, though, with Alan Hutton touch and go for Villa and Tiago Ilori the same for Reading.

We'll soon see in a few hours whether or not they have been passed fit to both play.

Stats-wise, Villa have the edge having won two-thirds of the previous six between the pair whilst goals-wise the Royals only have Jon Dadi Bodvarsson off of the mark - with two coming last time out.

Finally, looking at overall averages this year, Villa have the edge in aerial duel success and dribbles per game but it's Reading who have actually had more shots per game so far - belying their current standing.

Tackles per game, meanwhile, is even between the two as both go in search for a big three points in terms of their respective causes.
