Aston Villa finished March off in fine fashion with a 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers yesterday.

Goals from Tammy Abraham and Tyrone Mings made the difference at Villa Park, and Villa now find themselves fifth in the Championship table and looking like real contenders to win a place back in the Premier League come the end of the campaign.

And Villa are really hitting form at the right time, with five wins in a row not to be sniffed at as we head into what is set to be an exciting final seven games to the season.

With Abraham smashing the goals in, Jack Grealish seemingly growing in stature week by week, and the likes of Mings and Hause building a solid platform at the back, there's a lot to be confident of when you look at the Villa squad from top to bottom.

It's for those reasons that they really are the team to watch and be feared as we head into the final run-in of what has once again been a fine Championship season.

No other teams will fancy playing Villa in the play-offs, that's for sure. Their firepower, quick flowing attacking football and now solid backline make them a solid opponent to overcome, and if they do get to Wembley, they have players with big game experience in the tank too.

There is always a team who comes from nowhere to romp home, and Villa have been that so far.

While seven games means 21 points to play for and a long way to go, as things stand, it's hard to look past Villa as being the favourites to win out in the end of season shootout.
