Aston Villa have made an offer for Bristol City striker Jonathon Kodjia, according to France Football via Talksport.

The Ivory Coast international had a great first season in English football after he joined the Robins from French side Angers for around £2 million.

The forward managed to score 20 goals in all competitions including a double against Huddersfield Town on the second to last game of the season.

Kodjia has received a lot of interest this summer from sides ranging from Derby, Sunderland, and Spanish side Villarreal.

However, Aston Villa are the only side who have been reported to have made a bid for the 26-year-old.

Villa boss, Roberto Di Matteo, is looking at bringing in at least one striker ahead of the new season after the side scored just 27 goals last season in the Premier League.
