Premier League newcomers Burnley are interested in signing Aston Villa striker Rudy Gestede, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The giant striker has only been with the Midlands club for 12 months, but following the clubs relegation to the Championship, is already on the radar it appears for Sean Dyche.
Gestede, previously of Blackburn, started the season well last term when he scored the winner for Villa on the opening day against Bournemouth, but much like the rest of the team, went on to predominantly struggle.
He was however a real danger at Championship level when he was at Blackburn, so Roberto Di Matteo may well be interested in keeping the big man in the hope he can bang in the goals to get them back to the Premier League.
Villa are expected to add to their squad over the summer under new owner Tony Xia and manager Di Matteo. They are being linked with a host of names, meaning it will be interesting to see who they part ways with.
