The Villans' supporters really were getting a disillusioned with their club towards the end of Randy Lerner's reign as owner but things since Dr. Tony Xia's arrival have certainly improved.

Indeed, they're doing their best to engage supporters of all ages and Andre Green has been the latest to do so as he's met up with young fans as part of the Aston Villa Foundation project.

The Verdict

Villa have got plenty of good young, local players coming through at the moment and fans always love seeing that.

It seems as though they are proud to represent the club, too, and so it's small wonder there's a lot of optimism about the club right now.
