The Second City derby is back on Sunday and it could signal the return of Jack Grealish to the Aston Villa squad. The talented midfielder hasn’t played a game so far this campaign after a freak injury in pre-season set him back.

However, he has been back in training in recent weeks and also featured for the U-23s. The 22-year old shared the above message on twitter which saw him out on the training field once again. That suggests he could return to the squad this weekend and what a game to be back for.
Given the nature of his injury it will take Grealish weeks to get up to speed, but he could certainly make an impact from the bench.
The local lad knows all about the derby and will be desperate to get out there on Sunday lunchtime against Villa’s bitter rivals. Victory against Fulham moved Villa into the play-offs which shows the improvements made after a wretched start to the season.
Despite that, performances have remained unconvincing in certain games and Grealish will add a bit of quality and creativity in the final third.
Whether he makes his comeback on Sunday or not, in the bigger picture Grealish nearing full fitness is a massive boost for Villa.
Although, at the minute there is only one game that matters to the city and fans will be desperate to see the youngster back out there.
He knows what these games are like and has delivered big performances against Blues in the past, so Grealish will be desperate to get back out playing this weekend.
