Aston Villa star Albert Adomah has said he will be open to a move back to Bristol City later on in his career.

The former Robins winger returned to Ashton Gate last night with current club Villa as the Championship contenders played out a 1-1 draw, with Adomah receiving a friendly reception from the home faithful.

And Adomah admitted after the game he had loved his time with the club, and would be open to coming back one day.

“I’m honoured they still remember me and it made me a bit speechless to be honest. I think the fans know what I did for the club in the past and I’ve always got a soft spot for those supporters." Adomah told the Bristol Post.

“I truly loved my time here at Bristol City and you never know, one day, it might happen again."

Adomah was a key man for the Robins when he made a move from Barnet back in 2010, staying at Ashton Gate for three years and becoming a key man in making over 100 appearances for the club.

His form with City earned him a move to the North East with Middlesbrough, where he once again impressed before making a move to the Midlands with Aston Villa.

Villa manager Steve Bruce will be hoping Adomah can get himself back to his best this season as he looks to guide the club back to a top six place after a miserable run of form has increased the pressure on the manager at Villa Park.

Villa fans, what do you make of this? Would you rather Adomah concentrated on Villa and not his future? Let us know in the comments!
