Aston Villa have had a mini revival of late under Steve Bruce, winning three of their last five to fire them to within five points of the Play-Offs.

Villa have a wealth of talent in their squad, so they are somewhat underachieving to be 14th in the table.

Under Bruce, however, they should kick on and be at least pushing for a Play-Off spot come May.

Despite having arguably the best squad in the league, there are areas of the squad where Villa aren't as strong and could do with reinforcements, something Bruce will have already identified.

The Villa owner, Dr Tony Xia, is keen to get back to the top flight and will no doubt give Bruce some financial backing in January to give them a final push.

Premier League teams have a wealth of talented players sitting on their benches who could look for a move to Villa and here, I will look at THREE possible options for Villa...

Jerome Sinclair

sinclaiirrrrrr

Sinclair was widely expected to be the next big thing at Liverpool but he struggled to break onto the scene at Anfield, which subsequently lead to a move to Watford.

Sinclair obviously has the potential to be a top player, but it is up to his manager to bring that out of him.

He made his first team debut at Liverpool at just 16 years of age, but he has never kicked on from there and struggled for first team opportunities, largely due to Liverpool signing top class players.

If Villa could get Sinclair, he could give them another option to bring on off the bench and provide them with some creativity going forward, something that is crucial in the Championship.

Tendayi Darikwa

darikwaaaa

Darikwa signed for Burnley in 2015 and made an immediate impact at Turf Moor, putting in some impressive performances before a poor run of form saw his get displaced and he hasn't got his place back since.

He offers an attacking threat at full back whilst being defensively solid, something necessary to play at full back in the modern game.

He also brings versatility, with him being able to play on the wing as well.

Villa currently have Alan Hutton at right back, but Darikwa would offer Villa another outlet going forward and he also has experience of being promoted, something all teams promotion chasing team need in the dressing room.

Peter Crouch

Crouch is struggling for regular football at Stoke and as his career comes to an end, he may look for a move to get some game time before he retires.

He offers something different to the other Villa strikers; he is someone who Villa can play direct to, to mix their style of play up a bit. Crouch has a good goal scoring record in the Premier League, so I'm sure he could bring his form down to The Championship.

Crouch would suit playing under Steve Bruce, with Villa blessed with some good wingers in Adomah and Ayew, the service coming into the box will be exactly what Crouch needs to score regularly.
