Aston Villa have been on a positive run in 2018 that has seen the side go from play-off hopefuls to top two contenders, with automatic promotion a real possibility.

And, it appears that the good atmosphere that currently surrounds the club is also evident with the players, going from the club's latest tweet.

The West Midlands side shared a video of midfield duo Robert Snodgrass and Henri Lansbury taking part in a challenge they called 'Unclassic Commentary'.

It sees the duo comment on the 1-1 draw against Leeds United back in December, a game in which Lansbury scored the equaliser with a fine shot from outside the box.

However, it was Snodgrass who was the funny man going from the clip, with the Scotland international seeming to really enjoy the new role he had been given.

After having a cheeky dig at teammate Alan Hutton, the ex-Leeds man talks viewers through Lansbury's goal - whilst joking around about the players hair that day.

The extended version of the pair on the mic can be found on Villa's YouTube channel.

The Verdict

This is a great light-hearted video from Villa and something that all fans will want to see.

Snodgrass in particular comes across as a very funny guy and short videos like this give supporters the chance to see a different side to the players instead of the serious, sometimes boring interviews that you get around a match day.

Hopefully there will be more of the same in the future.
