Aston Villa set to make move for highly rated Italian stopper

Aston Villa are seriously interested in signing Verona goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, according to Italian news outlet Gianlucadimarzio.com.
It is reported that the Villains have made a bid of £5m for the goalkeeper as they look to rebuild their side for next season as they look to get back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Gollini spent his youth career in England with Manchester United, so is familiar with the English game and may well fancy a move back following impressive form for Verona.
Villa are in the market for a new goalkeeper with trust issues over Brad Guzan and back up Mark Bunn, and new manager Roberto Di Matteo has his eye on his italian counterpart.
The Villa Park outfit are keen to splash the cash following their takeover by Chinese investor Tony Xia, and are expected to challenge right at the top end of the table as the season progresses.
