Aston Villa are going well in the Championship once more and look good to remain in the play-off places this season.

Squad-wise, Villa are very strong but they have been hampered by injuries to key men and a real lack of forward presence in terms of a striker scoring goals.

Even so, recent form has suggested that they are going to remain at the sharp end whilst Scott Hogan is beginning to threaten up top once more.

Steve Bruce would surely like to keep his side together, then, which is why he won't welcome the report from the Daily Record saying David Moyes is looking at bringing back Robert Snodgrass to West Ham from his loan deal.

That would surely be a kick in the teeth for the Villans who would surely like to keep the player until the end of the campaign at least.

It appears, though, that they could get some cash from any deal with the report claiming that West Ham would have to pay £2 million to cut any deal short.

Villa might get some money for him, then, but they'd surely rather he stay until May at least.

The Verdict

This could be a real blow for Villa if they lose the talents of Snodgrass earlier than expected.

It seems as though David Moyes might want him back at West Ham, though, and so we'll see if anything comes of that.
