It's been another busy week at Villa Park as Aston Villa look to earn a big week against Leeds United later tonight.

Things have seemed pretty positive at the Midlands club this season and they'll certainly be looking to end the week on a high as they travel to Elland Road tonight.

In the meantime, though, it's time to look at the week at Villa Park in news and social media circles - starting with Steve Bruce's preview of tonight's clash.

As quoted by the Birmingham Mail, Bruce has highlighted how hard the challenge will be tonight - with both sides gunning for the play-offs at the very least this year.

He said:

“We’ve got Leeds away to start and it doesn’t get any more difficult.

“There will be a big crowd, big atmosphere and live on the TV.

“There’s all to play for."

One man who will be missing, though, is Mile Jedinak with the club confirming earlier this week that the Australian faces a prolonged period out of action once again:

Villa should be confident that they can get by without the midfielder, however, with Bruce praising his squad for still performing despite the likes of Jonathan Kodjia, John Terry and the Aussie:

Bruce appeared to hint at January moves in those words, meanwhile, and we've certainly seen some big rumours with football insider claiming that the Villans are eyeing the in-form Leon Clarke.

The Villans could certainly do with another forward at the moment and owner Dr. Tony Xia has hinted that moves are on the cards in the next window - though loan deals are more likely. He told the club's official website:

“In terms of strengthening, everyone knows that for January we have the FFP to look at. But very possibly we will bring in a couple of loans to strengthen our squad. We want to keep getting better and better and help us end the season well."

The work seems to be underway, too, with Scouts in Attendance on Twitter providing this update on the movements of scout Tony Coton:

It's been another busy week for Villa, then, so now let's see if they end it on a positive note tonight.
