Aston Villa's allocation of tickets for the final has sold out days ahead of the match, according to the official Villa site.

The match is the biggest occasion of the season for both teams and usually attracts big crowds from whoever is involved, because of how pivotal it is as well as the reward of Premier League football.

It's certainly going to be a good atmosphere with 38,000 in their allocated area not including others who could be in the suites or other areas.

The question now is whether the Cottagers can do the same in order to negate this potential advantage and add to the occasion.

The Verdict

This match is usually decided by fine margins with nerves playing a key part.

Therefore, the team that can change the occasion into a home match as much as possible has an edge over their opponents because of how it can settle down their players and create an intimidating atmosphere for the opposition.

Other factors will obviously play apart and it's naturally highly dependent on the performance on the pitch, but it's an advantage nonetheless.

Home advantage was key in the regular season for this fixture as well because both sides couldn't get a result away from home.

However Fulham's rampaging style of play will require some stopping and they are favourites going into this match, but the Villa fans are certainly playing their part.
