Championship side Aston Villa have rejected a bid in the region of £5m for youngster Kienan Davies, according to a report in the Sunday Express.

The report, which comes via the Sun on Sunday print edition, claims that the Villans have rejected the advances of United and Jose Mourinho for the teenager, who is enjoying a breakthrough season under Steve Bruce in the second tier.

Davies was plucked from non-league back in 2015, but has only just started to make his mark in the first team, impressive Bruce in pre season and now going on to keep £12m signing Scott Hogan out of the team at the same time.

Arsenal are also reportedly interested in signing the striker, but Villa are holding their ground so far and have rejected the initial bid from Old Trafford.

The striker has notched two goals this season in his ten appearances, but it is his overall play which has seen him become one of the most highly rated prospects outside of the Premier League, as Villa have gone on an excellent run to coincide with Davies' good form.

It remains to be seen if United will come back in for Davies, but expect a bidding war in January if he can maintain his form.
