According to a report in the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa have rejected two separate approaches to take Aaron Tshibola on-loan this month.

Tshibola finds himself on the fringe of Steve Bruce’s first-team at Villa Park, with his most recent appearances for the club coming for the youth team, who has scored twice for in his last two appearances.

Villa are keen to move the 23-year-old on this month, but it is understood that the player himself would prefer a move abroad, rather than a loan deal elsewhere in England.

Tshibola spent the opening stage of the current campaign away from Aston Villa, on-loan with MK Dons, who he made 16 appearances for across all competitions, before the League One outfit returned him to Villa Park early.

Since his return, Tshibola hasn’t featured in the first-team for Villa, with the club looking to secure him a move this month, along with a number of other fringe players.

Over the course of his Villa career, Tshibola has managed just 10 first-team appearances for the club, with the last of those coming over a year ago in a 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

The Verdict

It is a surprise to hear Villa have rejected numerous bids for Tshibola, as he clearly doesn’t feature in Villa’s plans any longer.

Bruce will be keen to move the midfielder on before the close of the window, and after hearing that the club have rejected bids, they must be expecting more enquiries.

The sooner the two parties part company the better.
