Aston Villa have rejected an initial offer of £5.3m for Jordan Amavi, according to The Sun.

The Sun is reporting that Sevilla have submitted the unsuccessful bid for the Aston Villa defender.

With plenty of interest in the Aston Villa left-back, he is expected to leave the West Midlands side this summer and secure a move abroad.

Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco are both keeping their tabs on the former France under-21 international, who joined the Villains in summer 2015.

During his first season in England, Amavi impressed but suffered a season-ending injury in November 2015.

This kept him out until the new season but he has struggled to find consistency in the 2016/17 season in the Sky Bet Championship despite many tipping him to thrive.

After standing firm and rejecting bids in January, Aston Villa are now ready to cash in on the 23-year-old, who is attracting interest from a number of top clubs across Europe.

Amavi is currently on the transfer list but the Villains have rejected an initial £5.3m offer as it falls significantly short of their asking price.

Aston Villa are reportedly expecting to receive roughly double that price as they hold out for £10.5m.

With Wales international Neil Taylor on their books, Aston Villa are prepared to dispense with fellow left-sided full-back Jordan Amavi if another team matches his valuation.
