Queens Park Rangers defender Darnell Furlong is the subject of interest from a host of Championship clubs, according to HITC Sport.
The 21 year-old is one of the most promising youngsters to come out of the QPR academy in recent seasons, with Aston Villa, Reading and Preston North End all reportedly enquiring about the player’s availability.
Furlong spent the first-half of the campaign on loan at League One strugglers Swindon Town but was recalled by Ian Holloway, along with Michael Doughty, as soon as the January transfer window opened.
The full-back is rumoured to have been confronted with a new long-term contract at Loftus Road but is yet to put pen-to-paper, his current deal expires this summer.
Since his return to Queens Park Rangers after a loan spell in Wiltshire, Darnell Furlong has made just one appearance for the club and that came in their 1-0 victory over Reading last week.
The ex-Cambridge United and Northampton Town defender has played in four matches for the London side in just under three years since making his debut against Hull City March 2014.
Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce is keen to add to his defensive options, meanwhile Reading and Preston North End want to bolster their defence ahead of a frantic final few months of the season.
