Aston Villa are looking for their third consecutive win to continue their impressive turnaround in form when they visit Burton Albion tonight.

After a poor start that saw many fans call for Steve Bruce to be sacked, Villa are now within touching distance of the play-offs.

Victory on Saturday against Nottingham Forest stretched their unbeaten run to six games, but all the focus is on Burton Albion ahead of tonight's game.

The match-winner against Forest, Conor Hourihane, has revealed that back-to-back wins has done wonders for the side's confidence.

It's got the place buzzing. It's a big game tonight and we will be going into that with a lot of confidence behind us. We feel we are slowly getting there,he told the Express & Star.

However, the Irish international was quick to acknowledge that it will be a tough test at the Pirelli Stadium.

Burton away will be tough, they have a good record at home. It is a tight pitch, a tight ground. That will be tough.

Villa shouldn't need reminding of that, having failed to pick up the three points in the corresponding fixture back in April when the sides drew 1-1.

The Verdict

Things are looking a lot better for Villa than they did a few weeks ago. Much-needed wins against Barnsley and Forest have seen them shoot up the table.

With Burton Albion tonight, followed by Bolton at home on Saturday, it seems pivotal they extend this winning run.

As Hourihane admits, it will be tough tonight but it's a game Villa should be expecting to win.
