Aston Villa owner, Dr Tony Xia, has taken to his personal Twitter account to issue a message to the club’s fans.

The message urged fans to stick by the team in order to earn success. Xia also stated, some Villa fans need to stop blaming individuals, insisting, “Together we can make the change.”

The tweet comes in wake of the club's eighth defeat of the season, a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Brentford.

The defeat leaves Villa 14th in the Sky Bet Championship table, trailing the play-off places by ten-points.

Steve Bruce’s made seven signings during the January transfer window and fans will be hoping the players can help pull the team towards the play-off places.

Villa face Nottingham Forest in their next league game on Saturday evening, defeat would leave them level on points with their Midland rivals.
