When Tammy Abraham decided to snub Wolverhampton Wanderers and opt to remain at Aston Villa, many thought the player’s future was finally sorted for the remainder of the season.

But The Mirror is reporting that there could be fresh interest in the 16-goal striker from another Premier League side.

Crystal Palace are reportedly set to revive their interest in the Chelsea man who has been a revelation at Villa Park this season.

Roy Hodgson’s men are six points above the drop zone and have one of the lowest goal tallies in the division.

With Wolves now out of the running for his signature, Palace could well look to peruse a deal for the striker, despite him committing his immediate future to Villa Park and continuing his loan spell there.

Abraham snubbed a side ninth in the Premier League to remain with the Championship side, and now Palace will try and coax the attacker back to London.

The verdict

“It looks like Aston Villa are not out of the woods yet, despite Tammy Abraham knocking back the advances of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

If he chose not to go to a side doing well, I highly doubt he will be looking to go to a side battling it out at the bottom of the division again.

The only advantage to that would be that he would be back in London.

But this could be a long month of Villa trying to hold onto their temporary player as they look to make a charge on the play-offs, with Abraham key to them completing that mission.”
