A hero at Hull, an outcast at West Ham; Robert Snodgrass' stock dramatically fell when he decided to swap Humberside for East London in the 2017 January transfer window.

Failing to impress under former Hammers boss Slaven Bilic, Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce took a punt on the Scot finding his feet in the Championship, a move the former Hull City gaffer failed to regret.

Exceeding twenty combined goals and assists, Snodgrass is back to his best and it is highly likely he will attract suitors or be retained by West Ham when his loan spell in Birmingham expires.

If he does leave, this duo should be on the shortlist to replace him...

The Canadian international may not be the prolific goal scorer Snodgrass has proven, but with Jack Grealish beginning to become a regular finder of the back of the net, Arfield's work rate and ability to deliver a ball would make him a fine addition to this squad.

The 29-year-old has years of experience at both second tier and Premier League level having been with current club Burnley for five years, something that will massively appeal to Bruce who actively searches for men with a long CV.

The club's future is unclear given their push for promotion and potential play-off appearance should they fail to secure a top-two spot, but a player of Arfield's ability would succeed at either level the Villains find themselves at.

Oh and did I mention Arfield is a free agent this summer?

Bruce must go after his signature.

The Polish international is one of the most underrated players in the second tier, maintaining his place in the Polish national side with his performances for Hull City.

At just twenty-nine Grosicki has plenty of time left at this level and above, with Bruce sure to be aware of the player's talents.

Despite his tally of goals and assists in the league hovering around the fifteen mark, the winger has found himself resigned to the bench for large swathes of the campaign and may have grown frustrated in appearing from the bench.

If Villa came in and offered consistent first-team action, then Grosicki would surely be keen to move.

Villa fans, thoughts?
