Aston Villa's Callum O'Hare is set for an imminent departure from Villa Park in a bid to secure some regular first team football, according to Football Insider.

O'Hare is coveted by two teams in League One, as well as a pair of League Two outfits.

Ambitious Mansfield Town, who yesterday signed Jorge Grant from Nottingham Forest, are keen on taking O'Hare to Field Mill. They're joined by Exeter City, fighting against the Stags for a play-off place.

20-year-old O'Hare is also wanted by a brace of League One clubs, namely Burton Albion and Bristol Rovers. Both are fighting in the lower reaches of the division and are hoping for an injection of pace and guile in their flagging sides.

O'Hare has started just one game for Villa this season, the FA Cup defeat at the hands of Swansea, but he does have four league appearances to his name in total, all from the bench.

The report suggests Dean Smith is happy to allow the attacking midfielder to leave the club on loan as chances in the first team are likely to be limited between now and the end of the season.

The Verdict

This would be a wonderful capture for someone.

O'Hare is highly rated at Villa and would certainly tear up League Two, much as teammate Rushian Hepburn-Murphy is expected to at Cambridge.

The sensible move would be League One, a better standard of football and possibly better players to learn from, but the decision will ultimately be with Dean Smith.
