Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack could be set for a further move in January after making an impressive start to life down under with Australian side Melbourne.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, the Scottish striker is keen to extend or make permanent his move to the A-League side, after racking up five goals in his opening seven games for the Aussies in what has been an impressive start for the former Leeds man.

However, despite McCormack wanting to stay, a number of English clubs have been taking notice of his form, and could well make a January move themselves for the striker, whose spell with Victory is due to end on January 26th.

Villa though could well be tempted to allow McCormack to stay where he is, given his form and also the need to stop him signing for any of the club's Championship rivals.

Villa themselves have shot back into form and are now one of the key contenders for promotion following an excellent spell under Steve Bruce. They sit firmly in the top six and ran out 2-0 winners against Ipswich Town yesterday to further cement their spot.

Villa fans, what do you think of McCormack? Should he stay where he is? Let us know!
