Aston Villa fans will be hoping for some good news in the coming week as defender Axel Tuanzebe took to social media to share an update on his injury progress.

In a report delivered by the Birmingham Mail, the Manchester United loanee revealed his ankle injury, which he suffered in the game with Cardiff City a few weeks back, is due to heal soon and he is hoping to get his protective boot off and get back into the swing of things on the pitch soon.

Tuanzebe had become a key man for Villa manager Steve Bruce prior to his knock, and Bruce will be hoping to have the youngster back in and amongst the squad for the final three games of the season and any subsequent playoff run which comes off the back of it.

Villa kept their automatic promotion hopes alive this weekend with a 1-0 win over troubled Leeds United at Villa Park, and with Fulham drawing yesterday, Villa reamin right in the hunt for second spot in what is set to be a nailbiting finish to the season for all the promotion hopefuls.

Villa fans, how important can Tuanzebe be? Is he a big player for you when fit? Let us know in the comments!
