James Bree admits he is loving life with Aston Villa following his January transfer from Barnsley, reports the club’s official website.
The 19-year old impressed for Barnsley during the first-half of the Sky Bet Championship campaign, earning himself a transfer to Villa, signing a four-and-a-half year deal.
Since his arrival at Villa Park, Bree has been limited to a handful of opportunities in the first-team, mainly due to the improved form of right-back Alan Hutton.
Despite his limited appearances, Bree insisted life at Villa Park was good, he told @AVFCOfficial: “It’s great to be at Aston Villa. The place is unbelievable and unreal. It’s great to have got settled in and got to know the lads.”
Bree made just his second start for Villa last night, as Steve Bruce’s side lost 1-0 to Play-Off chasing Huddersfield Town, ending a fantastic run of form.
Prior to last night’s defeat, Villa had recorded three consecutive victories in the Championship, without conceding a goal, restoring some pride at Villa Park after what has been a disappointing season.
