Aston Villa are the latest Championship club chasing Sheyi Ojo.
Liverpool’s Ojo is on the radar of a number of Championship sides with Aston Villa now in the race, as per reliable journalist Alan Nixon.
It is unclear whether Aston Villa would pursue a loan deal or a permanent transfer, with Goal reporting that Liverpool are open to either possibility.
West Brom were supposedly winning the race for the 21-year-old winger, who has spent time out on loan with Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham.
Liverpool rate Ojo at £10m with Nottingham Forest and Reading also said to be interested in a swoop.
The England under-21 international has always been highly rated by the Reds but has fallen below the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Ben Woodburn and Harry Wilson in the pecking order at Anfield.
If Aston Villa could land Ojo on a loan deal, then this would be good business.
I am not necessarily suggesting he starts for the Villans, but as a back-up to Albert Adomah and injury-prone youngster Andre Green, he would be a good option.
After winning promotion with Fulham, the pacey wide man knows how to achieve success at this level and he will be eager to prove himself at Championship level with goals and assists.
