Championship side Queens Park Rangers and Aston Villa - who will be playing Championship football next season after their relegation from the Premier League - are among the clubs keeping tabs on Dundee striker Kane Hemmings, according to the Daily Mail.

It is also reported that Blackburn, Derby and Bolton have all watched him this season.

The 24-year-old only joined the Scottish side last summer but has had a brilliant first season with the Dees.

His goal scoring record is extremely impressive indeed, netting 25 goals in just 38 games. He has also been responsible for scoring almost half of Dundee's total goals scored.

It is reported that the former Barnsley striker has a buy-out clause of around £250,000 which you would think is perfectly affordable for clubs such as QPR.

But if Aston Villa were to sign the striker it would give them a better chance of getting back to the big time after a disappointing season where their top scorer scored just 5 goals.

The battle for Hemmings is well and truly on.
