There was mixed news for Aston Villa on the injury front ahead of their game against Fulham tomorrow. Steve Bruce's men will be looking to bounce back after last weekend's nightmare performance against Wolves that ended a sequence of four wins in a row.

The club tweeted the below update and the major positive was that Mile Jedinak was making good strides ahead of his return. The Australian was a big miss at Molineux, as Villa really struggled to get a grip of the midfield. His tenacity and experience could've helped the visitors get more control of the game.

Although, they will have to do without Gabby Agbonlahor who has a calf injury. The striker hasn't been involved in the squad since late August but would surely love to be back for the Birmingham derby next Sunday.

A further tweet from the club delivered more positive news, with Jack Grealish and Henri Lansbury stepping up their returns, even if they aren't available for tomorrow's game. They will however feature in the U-23 fixture against Reading on Monday night and the return of Grealish in particular will be a real boost for the fans.

The Verdict

Aston Villa's momentum may have been halted after last week's defeat, but they are still in a decent position. Steve Bruce will be pleased Mile Jedinak is closing in on a return, especially given Glenn Whelan's performance at Wolves. Gabby Agbonlahor is unlikely to add a great deal to the forward line, but Jack Grealish certainly will when he's fit. Villa have lacked creativity and guile in the final third at times and the 22-year old will change that, along with Henri Lansbury, so it's good that they will get a game on Monday.
