Aston Villa have had a superb season really, and if it wasn't for Wolves running away with things and Cardiff and Fulham surprising everyone, then they would be right in the mix to seal the second automatic spot.

The Villans will still be hopeful of promotion though through the playoffs, and will be confident manager Steve Bruce can add to his already impressive resume of promotions and add one with the Villa Park club to his CV.

One key man for the Villans this season has been midfielder Robert Snodgrass, who has been quite superb since making a move to the club from West Ham on loan.

The Scottish international though will be no doubt attracting some attention from other parties, but we at FLW think that the club need to be going all out ensure they keep the midfielder next season, regardless of what league they are in.

Snodgrass is the sort of player who appears to be too good on his day for the Championship, but then again is not quite up to the level of being a top level Premier League player.

Capable of scoring goals from nothing as he proved at Sheffield United, as well as being a key contributor of assists, Snodgrass could well be the most important bit of business the club conclude over the summer if they can indeed seal a permanent deal for him.

Villa fans, what do you think? Do you need to keep Snodgrass? Let us know your thoughts!
