Aston Villa are beginning to exert themselves as a force in the Championship this season, and a comfortable 4-0 victory over Burton Albion last night extended Steve Bruce’s side’s unbeaten league run to seven games.

Goals from Davis, Adomah and Snodgrass put the visitors firmly in control at the break, before Tottenham loanee Josh Onomah completed the scoring midway through the second half.

Villa packed out the way end, but in a Tweet published by Football Away Days, one man in the away end to attract the attention was Leicester City winger Marc Albrighton.

A graduate of the Villa academy, the Premier League winner could be seen amongst the away fans at the Pirelli Stadium, proving that footballer’s still have the passion for the game some believe they lack these days.

The Verdict

In what was an excellent win for Villa, fans will be delighted to also see Albrighton in the crowd supporting his boyhood club.

A short trip up the road from Leicester, seeing a Premier League winner on the terraces will come as a surprise to many, but football fans as a whole will applaud the winger’s attendance at the game.

Villa are really beginning to assert their dominance with the impressive squad they have at their disposal, and a push for the top-six seems extremely likely.

Bruce’s men face an easy tie at home to Bolton this weekend, with the hapless Trotters yet to pick up a win in the league this season.
