This weekend sees the return of one of the Championship’s biggest fixtures as Birmingham City host Aston Villa in the Second City Derby at St. Andrew’s.

The previous clash between the two ended 4-2 to Smith’s side in an entertaining affair at Villa Park but things have changed since.

Now it is the Blues who have stolen a march on their local rivals, currently sat three places better off as both look to make a late push for a play-off spot.

It is a huge game, and Smith revealed a selection dilemma he is having in the build up to it, revealing he was considering using Mile Jedinak at centre-back.

It was a tactic that backfired massively on Steve Bruce at the start of the season, but with injuries mounting up, Smith feels like he might not have a choice.

The Australian started at the heart of the defence eight times under Bruce, but proved to be somewhat of an error-prone disaster, making a host of clumsy mistakes.

So, what should the Villa faithful think of this latest revelation?

Frankly, they should be completely horrified.

Jedinak at centre-back looked like it had left along with Bruce back in October so to hear Smith considering it should be a very worrying prospect.

Granted, he does not have too many options in that area, but considering just how badly the Australian's time went in that role, it should be avoided at all costs.
