After enduring a tough start to life as an Aston Villa player, January signing Kortney Hause has really stepped up in the past few weeks.

He had a debut to forget as he came on in the embarrassing 3-0 loss to Wigan and then had to wait for another chance.

However, he's taken it in style. After initially impressing at left-back, he has thrived in his more natural central defensive role alongside Tyrone Mings in the past few games.

That was the case again last night, with the duo outstanding in the 3-1 over fellow play-off hopefuls Nottingham Forest.

And, Hause capped his performance off with a rare goal, bundling home after a fine delivery from Conor Hourihane.

The fans have also appreciated his performances too, with a video going around social media from the away end as they sing his name to their own version of 'Our House' by Madness.

The on-loan Wolves man will be looking to make it four wins in a row for Villa when they host Middlesbrough this weekend.

The Verdict

Villa fans will have been extremely concerned after watching Hause initially as he really struggled, so it shows the mental strength and character he's got to bounce back.

His partnership with Mings has given the side a really strong foundation and Dean Smith's men finally look hard to beat now which hadn't always been the case.

This song shows he's certainly doing something right and it's now about maintaining the high standards he has set.
