Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton is a target for relegation threatened West Bromwich Albion, according to the print edition of the Sunday People, Sunday 15th April, 2018.
The experienced Scottish international has played a key role this season for the Villa, who have been making a charge at the automatic promotion places and remain well within sight of snatching second spot from both Cardiff and Fulham.
However, Hutton could find himself on the move in the summer as Midlands rivals WBA plot a move for the defender, who will be looking for one final big contract as he sees his playing days dwindle down.
The 33-year-old has made over 150 appearances for the Villans since making a permanent move to the club from Spurs back in 2011, while he has also enjoyed loan spells with Mallorca, Sunderland, and Bolton during his time at Villa Park.
West Brom will no doubt be preparing for life in the Championship and will see someone like Hutton as the ideal signing if they are to immediately bounce back next term.
Hutton’s experience, quality, and international pedigree could make him the ideal signing at the Hawthorns if the Baggies do indeed pursue a deal for the Scot.
