Aston Villa chief has his say on Neil Taylor, following horror tackle on Seamus Coleman

Speaking to Aston Villa’s official media, Steve Bruce has urged Neil Taylor to “try and get on” following his horror tackle which broke Seamus Coleman’s leg last weekend.

Taylor has been representing Wales in the past week, and received a straight red card in last Friday’s clash with the Republic of Ireland, for a shocking tackle on Coleman, which left the Everton defender with a broken leg.

The 28-year old has now returned to Villa ahead of their clash with Norwich City this weekend, and Bruce gave his opinion on Taylor’s situation, he said: “Neil Taylor is very disappointed. It’s saddened him. You don’t want to see a fellow pro get injured.

“Neil Taylor has got to try and get on with it. He won’t forget about it. He’s saddened.”

Bruce didn’t confirm if Taylor would start for Villa tomorrow, when they face Norwich City at Villa Park.

Villa are looking to continue their fine form when the Canaries visit tomorrow, having won five from six prior to the international break.

Bruce’s side are currently 12th in the Sky Bet Championship, and victory tomorrow will see them move just three-points behind eighth-placed Norwich.

Villa fans… Are you expecting Taylor to feature tomorrow? Let us know in the comments!
