Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce is hoping for a major injury boost over the international break, according to The Birmingham Mail.

With Mile Jedinak (Australia), Jonathan Kodjia (Ivory Coast) and James Chester and Neil Taylor (both Wales) all set to leave for international duty, Bruce is hoping that the quartet return without picking up any injuries.

The Villa boss also wants a number of players to return from their injuries in time to face Norwich after the break.

Speaking ahead of the international break, Bruce said:

“Will they all come back okay?

“That’s the problem.

“There’s a lot going away and you hope they can come back and everybody’s okay.

“That’s what we’re looking at more than anything that all the players who are going away come back and are in good condition.”

In addition to this, Bruce is hoping that Henri Lansbury and Scott Hogan will regain full fitness while they recover over the break, as well as potential returns for Gabby Agbonlahor, Andre Green and Jack Grealish.
