Aston Villa have completed a deal to bring Hull City coach Gary Walsh to Villa Park, the Tigers have confirmed.
Walsh was a loyal member of Steve Bruce’s backroom set-up during his time at Hull City, but after his resignation as boss of the Tigers, many expected him to bring the core of his backroom staff to his new club.
After the former Hull and Birmingham manager joined Aston Villa, he wasted no time in bringing his right-hand man Stephen Clemence to Villa Park, and now Gary Walsh has made the move from the KCOM to join Bruce.
Villa are just starting to pick up form in the Championship following Bruce’s arrival, but with the side sitting 15th in the Championship, 6 points off of the top 6, things will have to turn around soon at Villa Park if the Villains are to make a serious bid for promotion this season.
