Aston Villa have won six Championship games on the trot now and are finally looking the side many expected them to be this season.

Of course, they've had to deal with gelling with new players and a serious bunch of injuries this season but things have really clicked with a number of players showing their Premier League pedigree.

Villa look set to be the favourites for the second promotion spot behind Wolves, then, and that is why our latest FLW Spotlight is shining down on the Villans' season so far:

Despite not having an in-form striker for much of the season the Villans have hit 46 goals - only three sides have bettered that - and that highlights the amount of quality there is around the pitch.

With that in mind, then, and with the fact Scott Hogan now looks to be scoring as well as Lewis Grabban arriving they only look stronger, when many considered it to be their main weakness.

Typically for a Steve Bruce side, discipline has been key this season, too, and the Villans have been the best at that with them receiving just 36 bookings this year - less than any other side in the league.

Then, they've also the fourth best defensive record in the league with their 27 goals conceded in the division.

The club has gone about things in a professional and balanced manner this year, and it'd be no surprise to see them back in the Premier League if things continue this way.
