A sense of optimism as swept across Nottingham Forest since Evangelos Marinakis and Sokratis Kominakis took over the club.

Fans were delighted to see an end to the Fawaz Al-Hawasi circus which saw constant managerial changes and reckless spending.

Under their new stewardship, Forest have one clear goal this season: to win promotion.

After an underwhelming first season, the pair are starting to show their ambition this summer. Bringing in Aitor Karanka as manager was a brilliant first move that set the perfect tone.

Since then, Karanka has been backed massively by the owners having spent over £13 million on Joao Carvalho alone and bringing in other loan players from Monaco and Benfica.

So have the owners proven they are the real deal and capable of taking the club in the right direction?

I think it is too early to say, but the signs are all good so far.

Money has been thrown at Karanka’s playing squad, which is taking shape nicely.

Ask me again at Christmas.

It's so far so good. Controversy has surrounded them but they've certainly impressed at Forest so far. An ambitious manager, money for very good players and a sense of togetherness back at the City Ground; they're the envy of many right now.

No, a ball hasn't been kicked yet. Once games start piling up and points start to accumulate, then they can claim to be all that.
Until then they're just an ambitious team having a good summer, on paper.

Without a doubt.
They've completely smashed their transfer-record with Joao Carvalho and have backed Aitor Karanka with several other big additions.
There's plenty more to come as well, so by the time kick-off comes around the boss will have no complaints about support from above for him.
