Sheffield Wednesday's FA Cup adventure came to an end for another season on Wednesday night, as they were beaten 1-0 by defending champions Manchester City at Hillsborough, ensuring they exit the competition at the fifth round stage.

Having come into this game off the back of a 3-1 defeat at home to Derby on Saturday, the Owls may well have been fearing the worst against on often ruthless City side who had just lifted their third straight League Cup at the weekend.

In the end however, only Sergio Aguero's 53rd-minute strike would separate the two sides, with Wednesday producing an impressive defensive display to keep their illustrious hosts at bay for the majority of the match.

But while the vast majority of those in a Wednesday shirt would rightly earn plenty of praise for their individual performances against Pep Guardiola's side, one player who did not impress quite so much, was Alessio Da Cruz.

The attacker, who was making his sixth appearance for the club since joining on loan from Parma in the January transfer window, struggled to make much of an impact on the game, something which Wednesday's fans appeared to pick up on.

Taking to Twitter both during and after the game, plenty of those supporters appeared far from impressed as they expressed their views on the Dutchman's showing against City.

Here, we take a look at some of those reactions to Da Cruz' performance.
