Things are looking good for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Sky Bet Championship, with last night’s 2-0 victory over Fulham moving Nuno Espirito Santo’s four points clear at the top of the table, and ensuring they will head into November’s international break at the summit of the second-tier.

Wolves are in pole position to end their wait for a Premier League return under Nuno, and with Leo Bonatini and Diogo Jota in incredible form in attack and Willy Boly returning to the defence this week, there is real belief that the club are at the beginning of a special journey.

Last night’s victory over Fulham came thanks to goals from Romain Saiss and Bonatini, and moved Wolves up to 35 points from their opening 16 fixtures, with Nuno’s side averaging more than two points per game.

The Express and Star’s, Tim Spiers, has revealed that Wolves have achieved that point tally in 17 games fewer than last season, when it took Walter Zenga and Paul Lambert until the 33rd game of the campaign to reach that tally.
