According to Football Insider, Leeds United have opened talks to try and sign young Bury player Morgan Sadler as the Whites look to improve their youth options.

The Whites are looking strong this season.

Things under Marcelo Bielsa have started well and what will please fans is the evident willingness of the Argentinian to incorporate the best young players into his plans.

Jason Shackleton has made his debut already this season and, when you look at the success of the youth sides last year, fans should be pretty happy with this approach too.

The centre-half is 15-years-old and once again sheds good light on the Whites' stated plan from last season to bring in the best local young players to the club.

Whilst the senior side floundered last season, the youth teams flourished with a number of new faces coming in from around the country.

Clearly, the priority for the Whites is to get back into the Premier League but under Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta, a key part of their plan for the club is to really focus on the youth side of things too.

Quite often we see big clubs neglect the young players on offer in search for that quick fix - often thanks to the Premier League.

In the Championship, though, the route to first-team football is that bit clearer and Leeds are using their size to attract the players of tomorrow in.

Of course, by the time Sadler is ready for action the Whites want to be back in the top flight but with their excellent planning ahead there's potentially no reason why he and his contemporaries won't be featuring by that point.
