January was a fairly busy month for Port Vale in the end but with the winter window now closed, Darrell Clarke and co. can shift their full focus back to League One

Aaron Donelly and Matty Taylor signed on loan from Nottingham Forest and Oxford United respectively while Harry Charsley, Connor Hall, and Brad Walker all left the club.

The window may be closed but Vale will still have some decisions to make about players' futures in the coming months.

A significant number of Clarke's squad are set to leave the club this summer as things stand - either due to expiring contracts or the conclusion of loan deals.

We've compiled a list of all of them...

Daniel Butterworth

On-loan Blackburn Rovers forward Daniel Butterworth has been a useful pickup for Vale but will head back to Ewood Park in the summer.

His contract there expires in the summer, which suggests he could be on the move.

Aaron Donnelly

We've not seen much from Nottingham Forest loanee Aaron Donnelly yet but the defender did help Vale secure a clean sheet in his only appearance to date.

He's due back at Forest in the summer and signed an extension with the Reds in December.

Mipo Odubeko

West Ham United loanee Mipo Odubeko has featured 24 times for Vale this term, scoring four times.

He joined on a season-long loan and is set to head back to his parent club in the summer.

Dennis Politic

After impressing on loan in the first half of last season, 22-year-old winger Dennis Politic rejoined Vale for the 2022/23 campaign.

He's due back at Italian club US Cremonese once the season is done but is out of contract there in the summer.

Jack Stevens

Goalkeeper Jack Stevens has established himself as Vale's first choice.

The Oxford United loanee signed a new deal before he joined the League One club in the summer.

Matty Taylor

Matty Taylor joined from Oxford on loan in January in a deal that runs until the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

He is out of contract with the U's in the summer so a permanent move could materialise if he impresses.

Mal Benning

Mal Benning signed a one-year extension last summer.

The 29-year-old has featured 64 times since joining the club in 2021, including 28 times in 2022/23.

Ben Garrity

Ben Garrity is coming towards the end of the two-year deal he signed with Vale when he joined from Blackpool.

He's been a fantastic addition and is surely a player that Clarke will want to keep hold of.

Dan Jones

Defender Dan Jones has featured 53 times for the Valiants since his move from Harrogate Town.

The majority of those have come this season, which suggests the 28-year-old could be given an extension.

Tom Pett

Tom Pett signed a two-year deal when he arrived on a free transfer from Stevenage in the summer of 2021.

The 31-year-old was a regular fixture in League Two last term but has found opportunities harder to come by since the return to the third tier.

Jamie Proctor

It's been a difficult season for Jamie Proctor, who has missed a large chunk of it due to a hip injury.

The 30-year-old forward scored some important goals for Vale last term but now needs to earn an extension after returning to fitness recently.

Sam Robinson

Sam Robinson signed an 18-month deal when he joined from Manchester City last January.

The defender has played just 17 games since but is still just 21.

Nathan Smith

What a servant to the club Nathan Smith has been.

The midfielder has amassed 332 appearances for Vale and has indicated he's hoping for a contract extension in the summer.

Aidan Stone

Aidan Stone signed a one-year extension last summer but has been behind Jack Stevens in the pecking order this term.

The goalkeeper is set to become a free agent as things stand.

James Wilson

James Wilson's goals were vital in helping Vale win promotion last term but injuries have limited his effectiveness this term.

He penned a two-year deal when he signed for the club in 2021.

David Worrall

Experienced midfielder David Worrall has been a regular fixture under Clarke.

He's proven his quality again this term but is out of contract in the summer.
