This looks set to be another season for Brentford that promised so much to begin with but ultimately never went anywhere.

Back in August and September they looked like serious promotion candidates under Dean Smith but his departure brought on a significant slump that saw them plummet down the table.

Now, however, they seem to be back and heading in the right direction under Thomas Frank with the likes of Ollie Watkins and Neal Maupay showing their early season form once again.

They have been joined by winger Said Benrahma, who has nine goals and 12 assists all season, and has been directly involved in 14 since the turn of the year.

Inevitably, that sort of form has led to plenty of speculation with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur reportedly lining up moves for the 23-year-old.

He currently has a few paths that he can follow and here is a closer look at all three…

Stay with the Bees

With a new stadium move just around the corner and Thomas Frank getting the best out of them once again, promotion next season is a serious possibility.

Tearing up the Championship for another season and becoming a Bees legend in the process has got to be tempting for him.

Arsenal

The Gunners certainly need at least one winger with a bit of flair and creativity so it is safe to say that Benrahma fits the bill.

However, he would be right under the microscope at the Emirates and that pressure has made many falter before.

But he has thrived serving the likes of Maupay and Watkins so imagine what he could do with the forwards at Arsenal’s disposal.

Tottenham

Spurs too lack out and out wingers with the level of flare that Benrahma possesses.

Mauricio Pochettino has shown that he is more than willing to put faith in signings from the EFL too so he would not need to worry about playing time.

But with Spurs set to move to a new ground and Poch’s future still up in the air, it may not be the smartest time to up sticks.
