MK Dons have confirmed the signing of Arsenal striker Benik Afobe on a season-loan deal.
The 21-year-old striker is set to make his debut in tonight’s game against Leicester City and will wear the number 23 shirt.
“I’m really pleased. As soon as I spoke to the manager I knew this is what I wanted to do. It was an easy decision for me,” said the 21-year-old, speaking to MK Dons official website.
“I’m a striker who will hopefully score a few goals, I’ve got good pace and I link to link-up with the midfielders and wingers.
“I’m just really looking forward to getting going now. I just want to play games and help this team out as much as I can,” he concluded.
The striker has had loaned spells at Huddersfield Town, Reading and most recently Sheffield Wednesday. He has been capped twice for England under 21s, scoring one goal.
