The youngster, who has impressed in Arsenal’s youth set-up, is now subject to significant interest from the second tier of English football as a number of clubs look to bolster their attacking options.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger rejected a number of approaches for the youngster earlier in the summer, but is now ready to let the striker move out on loan to gain the experience needed to excel in the Premier League.

The one thing that Iwobi lacks is first-team experience and the Arsenal boss is hoping that he can gain just that with a move to the Championship, just like fellow Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom, who is on loan at Steve Bruce’s Hull City.

However, the striker is reportedly set to play a part in Arsenal’s highly anticipated North-London derby clash with Tottenham Hotspur this Wednesday in the Capital One Cup, as he moves closer to becoming an Arsenal first-team player.

But despite this development in the youngsters career, Wenger is now keen on giving the youngster the first team experience elsewhere in order to make the step up into his first-team squad.

There’s no doubt that the youngster’s progression is rapid as he strives to make his mark at the Premier League giants, but his progression will only be improved with more first-team football under his belt in a lower league.

Jumping straight into the Arsenal squad is perhaps too difficult of a transition for a youngster yet to make a senior appearance.

But the Championship appears to be the starlet’s likely destination in the near future as he looks to improve his all round game as a striker.

He is naturally a winger by trade, but after impressing in the striker role at under-21 level, he has made a position change that he needs to perfect before playing consistent first-team Premier League football.

The pacey forward has a number of traits that have attracted a host of Championship clubs, most notably his agility and ability to run with the ball.

Which Championship clubs are in the frame remains to be seen, but there are certainly a number of clubs that would admire the youngster’s abilities.
