Leeds United could be set to lose goalkeeper Rob Green to Premier League giants Arsenal, according to Alan Nixon.

The well respected reporter claims that the Gunners are looking for experience as cover in the sticks, and could well see former England international Green as the ideal man to come and do such a job.

Former West Ham and Norwich stopper Green was a revelation for Leeds last season as he delivered consistent performance after consistent performance to help Leeds come within touching distance of making the playoffs.

However, their failure to do so and now Garry Monk's departure as manager has thrown things up in the air, and Green could well be tempted by one last crack at the Premier League.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is in the market for a goalkeeper as cover for number one Petr Cech, and someone like Green could be the ideal sort of signing for the Gunners.

Leeds will no doubt be hoping to keep hold of Green though after his form last season, and Arsenal will no doubt need to act early and convince Green to move if they are to be successful in their pursuit oft he 37-year-old.
